Realistic Expectations Part (2)

expectation2 300x211 Realistic Expectations Part (2) Brad told Gretchen right upfront that his priority was to be an involved father to his children. “The first time I met my wife, I told her that my kids come first, and if you can’t accept that, then there’s no reason you and I should be dating because my children will always come first. I had to be upfront.

We might have something planned, but if one of the kids gets sick, sorry, I have to stay home.” Since Brad voiced his needs right away, he and Gretchen were able to discuss the things they found important for family life.

They both made the commitment to dedicate time to the children to make them feel wanted and loved, and to provide a welcoming home for them.
